    [SOLVED] No sound on Rosegarden?

    Hi,

When I click play on rosegarden it shows that it is playing but there is no sound. Why isn't there any sound? Can someone please tell me how to get it to work?

Do I do that in terminal? I tried and it said: sudo: alsaconf: command not found
    Did I do something wrong?

Yes you do it in a terminal. Make sure that alsa-utils is installed first then try again.

Go into the sound mixer and make sure your Midi isn't muted (and raise the volume slider up). Rosegarden outputs midi.

How do I do that? And now it says this:
    Sequencer startup failed
The MIDI subsystem has failed to initialize.
You may continue without the sequencer, but we suggest closing Rosegarden, running "modprobe snd-seq-midi" as root, and starting Rosegarden again. If you wish to run with no sequencer by design, then use "rosegarden --nosequencer" to avoid seeing this error in the future.

    Now what????

Well what sound card are you using?? Look it up on the web and see what the specs are.

Also I think Sound card setup in Yast will tell you.

I use the chipset on the motherboard (NVIDIA) and in my case MIDI is not supported. I'm pretty sure that Yast told me that when did the setup

I've looked everywhere and I still don't know if my sound card will work. Here is the soundcard it says I'm using Yast:
    82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller

Do you know if it will work?
