Add-on Product" vs "Installation Source"
OS: SLES 10 SP 1.
I have installed the OpenOffice Novell edition on SLES 10 SP 1 from the media of SLED 10 SP1.
What i did is, simply
# yast2 inst_source
that is in Yast > Installation Source add the iso image of sled10 sp1.
But I found that same could be done using the "Add-on Product" option in Yast.
so I wana ask that whats the diff in b/w "Add-on Product" and "Installation Source"
whats the actual usage of Add-on Product ?
atleast for me both are same.
please also let me know about "Installation into Directory" in Yast. whats the usage ?
Any help/url/tutorial will be highly appreciated

Yeah I always found Add-on Product to be the same as a repository and just left it alone. I'm not sure if there's a technical difference.
"Installation into Directory" is a seperate and unrelated module for installing an operating system so that you can run it under Xen virtualisation. You can install it into a directory rather than using virtual hard disks because Xen requires modified kernels to run anyway.
