    Make services start on initial bootup?

    What's the easiest way to make the following services start on bootup?

    PureFTP, Apache, SSH, Samba, VNC, CUPS, and DHCP

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    open terminal and type
    # setup
    From there select the services option and enable all the services you want to active on bootup

    Well i am not sure that will go in Suse! In fedora works....i think the easy way (in gnome) is to go in applications and right click on application and select "Add to Startup Programs"

    you can also add them to your ./kde/Autostart directory just put the commands there

    Most of the replies here will try to start those services when your regular user logs in, which I don't think is what you want. You want apache, etc. to start when you boot the machine.

    You need to click here. You won't need to do everything in that link, but it should give you the right idea.

    BTW: That was the first hit on google when I searched for "start apache on boot". Google is your friend.
