Hello...

First of I am a technology user...not an expert...

I have one Suse Linux Workstation connected to my home nextwork which I like very much and want to use as my default system....I share files on my other computers using a Buffalo LinkStation NAS box. It works fine for my Windows Computers but I have difficulty using it with my SLED box... a friend gave me the following advice which partially works however after a few minutes my access to the device is cut off and I always have to reboot my system

Logged in as root I execute the following commands: mount -smbfs -o username=User, password=Pass //IP ADDRESS OF NAS BOX/share /media/Share

I then log out as root an in as myself and can see or access files on the NAS box for a limited time (usually 1 minute or less) then I usually have to reboot my SLED box to get it working again...

Another problem with this is that I have to do it every time I boot the computer if I want to access the NAS box....any assistance with solving this problem is greatly appreciated.

Mike
