    Network Problem

Just installed OpenSUSE 10.2,and all my attempts to get the internet to work have been useless.

I have XP already installed and I connect to the internet through a network, and its working fine on the XP,I tried to use the same settings for SUSE but its not working, probably I'm entering the values in the wrong place.

I've opened the YasT console -> network Adapters and found my Network card, and entered the values there (default gateway, subnet mask) but still its not working.

Any help would be much appreciated,I've only used SUSE until now while I was connecting directly to the Router,so this is a bit new for me.

you are probably missing the DNS server address(es).
see the "Hostname/DNS" tab in network settings. Depending on your internet connection you might find it beneficial to set your network adapter (and DNS) to DHCP, that way your router will fill it in for you (if it's any good).

I agree with what ironduke said. But if your internet connection is set statically, just contact your ISP and get the DNS servers from them for your configuration.
