    olks i have some question.

    1. why do we need /root

    2. even if we do, why is is not in /home and is in /root?

    Last question is related to dual OS

    3. One my machine, i have Triboot having openSUSE, SLES and windows.. does it affect the performance of my System when i am booting into any of these (i am not using any Virtual Machine).. if yes the how... ??

    root is the system admin account and it has it's own folder... /root

    no, one OS/distro shouldn't impact the performance of the others since only one is running at any one time.
