Simply free the space you intend to use for Linux (do not create a partition). The installer will create the needed partitions.

There are no errors it just can't boot SuseLinux 10.3
when I activate with "Partition Magic" the Linux installed partition, Linux simply can't boot and keeps saying "No OS" and then I reactivate the "XP partition" and boots up XP. Thank-you.

    Welcome to the forums!

Are you saying that suse 10.3 is properly installed, but it won't boot, or you can't boot the suse 10.3 CD/DVD to install Linux?

If you can't boot the CD, it sounds like a bad installation disk, or you aren't booting with it properly.

Note your partition magic boot will be replaced with the grub boot. It will have a selection for windows also.

I would suggest you not to use Partition Magic. Do not deactivate partitions with it atleast.

I am afraid it is nothing to do with Pmagic because before linux I had installed Vista as second os and I had exactly the same problem.
    Thanks

Problem is with Partition Magic only. I used it last year only and it was a real disaster. It changes boot flag, activation code of partitions and installs its own boot loader for dual booting.
Have you tried PartedMagic? Its one of the best partition manager and has a lot of useful tools too.
