format exernal hard drive for linux
I have an external hard drive and i want to format it for use under linux. what format I should use?
I know linux can recognize fat32, however, it seems that some file name will change upon transfer (i.e., "A" may become "a", and "b" may become "B").
Thanks!

I personally like the ext3 filesystem.
You can use the PartedMagic LiveCD to easily format it so that it's ready for use.oz
