suse 11 problems
Well after a long and trouble free period with 10.3 I decided to do a fresh install of 11.
I now wish I hadn't bothered.
1. after install my data disk (ext3) became unusable. Suse 10.3/11 Mandriva, ubuntu. nothing would recognise it, although 10.3, Mandriva and ubuntu did prior to install of 11. Left with no option but to reformat and lose all data and backups.
2. If i plug in a usb drive I am told I do not have sufficient priviledges (even as root).
3. If I plug in 2 usb drives they both show as the same (although 1 is 200 gb and 2 is 80gb).
I have now put all my data onto a removable drive and although it works fine in Mandriva and Kubuntu, suse says that I cannot install special devices.
I hope that this is sorted soon as I have always been a big fan of suse, but this distro is a nightmare.
