Help PLEASE! MPlayer install/run on 10.1
I'm completely new to Linux and this is really frustrating...
I really need help with possibly uninstalling and reinstalling MPlayer. I don't really know ANYTHING at all about how to wield Linux or command lines and etc., and I'm really wishing that everything was as easy as it is on Windows.
So I did stuff with Packman and installed MPlayer and smplayer, but when I try to open it nothing happens. When I mess with the command line and try to run it through there, here's what goes on:
First, I tried running it with MPlayer itself:
mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libdirectfb-0.9.so.24: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Then, I tried running it with smplayer:
smplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libkio.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
---
So... I'm wondering if there's just one huge database or SOMETHING easy where I can get every lib (or whatever it is) that I need all in one package and a step by step thing as to where I need to put it and how to install it, etc.
I'm one frustrated newbie

Did you use Yast? or did you try to install by hand?
Yast-Software-Software Administration
Yast will manage all the dependencies
You are trying to do it the hard way.
You need to add the Packman repository.
