ATI 9600 card not working in 3D in opensuse 11

I have never had this many issues with my ATI card in opensuse before, except now. I installed the ATI drivers via one-click from the opensuse main site and from the ATI repo via yast. In both instances after a reboot, the glxinfo command still shows MESA as my driver, and the ATI control center says that the drivers are not installed properly.

What happened and how do i fix this?

try downloading and running the installer from the ATI site.

It works for NVIDIA it might also for ATI.

IMO all the one click installs are broken at least for some.

thanks for the reply but this is what i did.

i figured that the kernel modual was already installed, so i just ran this command:
    Code:
    sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx
and it works now. so it installed, it just didn't configure sax2 properly so it didn't load the ati drivers.
