    [SOLVED] Bootloader and opensuse installer

I'm trying to install suse 11 on my desktop, and it's constantly hanging at the bootloader. The relevant hardware is an ASUS mobo with onboard raid driving two WD hdds, where windows lives. I'm trying to install opensuse on an extra hard drive I slipped in there. The bloody graphical suse installer keeps trying to put the bootloader (grub or LILO) on the raid array, where the MBR is. I don't want it there, and fortunately all it's attempts at doing so have failed. I want grub in the other hdd with the rest of linux, and I'll tell the bios which one to boot. It worked fine for ubuntu, how do I make this happen for suse?
