    Suse 11.00 Dvd

    downloaded Suse 11.00 wriote it to DVD, but because my machine has a fault, I can't getit to boot from the DVD. How else can it start it for an install? is there a run instruction or terminal command line in 10.3???

    When you burned it did you burn as ISO?? Just copying it to a DVD will not work it must be burned as an ISO image. Also burn at the lowest speed you can to assure a good burn.

    check the mdsums i had downloaded twice from torrent, and got
    bad mdsums from both.
    i then dl the dvd from open suse and all worked fine,
    hope this helps
