Open Suse 11.1 Problems of setting up the Dsl connection

I have just installed Open suse 11.1 and
I have no previous experience using this operation system.

The reason I am writing is that I couldn't set up my internet connection properly:

I have a dsl connection.
I have tired to configure the connection in the following way:

1.I opened the YaST menu

2.The protocol was set to PPPoE (The dialup was set to manual mode.)

3.Then I gave my username and password.

Finally I have lanunched the Kinternet application, but it did not work.

I have started firefox and it displayed that there is no internet connection

Where should I start fixing the problem?

If you are new to Linux, you should probably start with version 10.3 or 11.0. 11.1 is currently in its first alpha release, so it is very rough and will have lots of glitches.
