Greetings,

Because of "DNS cache poisoning" Security for bind i want to update my DNS server. Unfortunately I only have one primary server so downtime would be critical. Have anyone updated 'on the fly' with or without problems??.
Is there anything I should bare in mind before updating.
Install and restart named?

This is the info from SUSE

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:

rpm -Fvh bind.rpm bind-devel.rpm bind-utils.rpm
