    Unhappy after installing compiz Ati Driver, WHITE SCREEN, help

    i have Ati radeon express 200 in my desktop.and i installed the compiz fusion.ymp d finished installed ..then only i installed ati.ymp then that to made fine..

    so tried to make my compiz work by searching on control settings d i find that in desktop effects there simply i clicked that into high effects<<<<THEN THE SCREEN BECOME WHITE>>>>i cant see the desktop at all..but all functions r running properly it seems but i cant see d work anything...

    is there any other way to turn it off ..

    when i restarted the system only the white desktop is there.....so help meeeee...........

    I don't run compiz at all, but I think you can remove the configuration files in your /home/username directory so that you can get around the white screen. Of course, you'll lose all your current compiz settings.

    Just boot into a console and look for them in:

    /home/username/.compizconfig
    /home/username/.config/compiz
    /home/username/.gconf/apps/compiz

    Delete them with commands like in the following example:

    rm /home/username/.compizconfig
    oz

    I got fed up wi th suse ..now changed to ubuntu 8.04 so for good!!
