video resolution problem, gma 965 intel, X1300 chipset
Hello to all the linuxforums community! I have been using linux mint for a while, and when was surprised to see that when I updated to linux mint 5 everything worked out of the box. I had heard lots of wonderful stuff about and SUSE(and KDE 4) and I wanted to give it a try so I installed, everything went fine except the resolution! Im forced to use 800x600, No matter what options I choose im forced to use 800x600. My native laptop resolution is 1280 x 800.
I already patched the Videobios following this instructions, also this thread help me.
I asked in the suse forums too but its been a couple days and nobody replied, the IRC chat room guys did not knew what the heck I was talking about. So im hoping you can help me here.
My system is a VAIO VGN-NR350FE, 965GM intel graphic card with X1300 chipset.
Im not so new for linux I have been using it as my primary workstation for the last 4 months.
Thanks in advanced, Arturo

SUSE is cool but not for me. I installed in another machine and the network did not worked. I know is a good distribution but it has not worked to me. Besides I feels it too bloated. But I learn a few good things about it so I will be putting them on my mint installation, Thank you
