KDE 4.1 Upgrade
How do I upgrade to KDE 4.1? I am running KDE 4.0 on OpenSuse 11.0. Will KDE 4.1 be automatically updated via OpenSuse 11.0 updates? I have had some recent updates over the last couple of days however my OS information still shows:"KDE 4.0.4."
Regards,

I have never used the "Factory" option when searching openSuse. I always check the current version option ( in my case 11.0). Is the "Factory" option ok to download?

It was recommended to me to always install software packages via YaST. Have you had trouble installing software outside of YaST?

Using the default package tool is usually the recommended as the best approach for installing software (especially for new users) under any distro because there's less chance of breakage. If you don't mind using more advanced software installation techniques and possibly breaking your machine now and then, other methods of installation could and probably should be used for the learning experience.
Of course, if you have the proper system backups in place, breaking your linux box is no big deal.oz
