Sun Application Server on SLES 10 - Memory issue

    SUSE Enterprise Server 10 SP1 64-Bit
    Kernel 2.6.16.54-0.2.3

When trying to deploy applications to the Sun App Server the server errors out after 8 to 10 deploys and returns an error message of:

[#|2008-08-04T08:41:53.062-0400|SEVERE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.container.web |_ThreadID=19;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-4848-0;_RequestID=3ed3d2e0-5ca1-4532-adc8-d69bb6e2dee5;|WebModule[/CDSWeb]PWC1275: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener

    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

This error locks up the application server, all applications cease to run, and the admin console is down. The only resolution we have found is to reboot the server.

Sun App Server version: Sun Java System Application Server 9.1_01 (build b09d-fcs)

Java JVM version: Version 6 Update 5 (build 1.6.0_05-b13)

JVM configured with 192 meg MaxPermSize.

We can increase the MaxPermSize but it only puts off the same result. Once the max size is reached it crashes.

Problem is repeatable although the number of times needed to reproduce can vary. We do not have this issue when running on a Windows installation of this same environment.
