How to save an edit in Konsole?
Hello!
I've just done a sudo edit of menu.lst (Grub) on my OpenSUSE 11.0 KDE 4.0.
I'm very new to linux, and I'm unsure on how to save the edit... I tried closing Konsole, then reopening Konsole and navigating to menu.lst (sudo) again. I then was given an option to Recover it, which I did.
So what I want to know, is: How do I save an edit, in Konsole?
Please reply!
Thanks in advance,
Panarchy

This is what I typed in once I had navigated to the grub folder.
sudo edit menu.lst
I can't see the name of the editor anywhere on screen. Ah... I'm using Konsole... if that's any help.
Please tell me what to do next!
Thanks in advance,

Hmmm, I don't seem to have that command installed, nor have I ever heard of it. I guess you'll have to wait for someone else to help you or you could try a different command to achieve the same results.
try using this command
sudo nano menu.lst
Make the desired changes and press Ctrl X to exit, Y to save and press enter.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
