Exclamation KDE4, can't select multiple items on the desktop!

    Hello!

How can I select multiple items on my desktop?

    I'm using OpenSuSE 11.0, with KDE 4.0.

Please tell me what I can do, and in the case that it isn't possible, please tell me how I can revert to an older version of KDE.

    Thanks in advance,

    Panarchy

This is implemented in KDE4.1 but wasn't present in KDE4.0. As a workaround you can open ~/Desktop in dolphin to work with these files.

You may be able to upgrade to 4.1 but I don't use SUSE so I'm not sure. It's certainly a lot more stable than 4.0 anyway.

    Software.openSUSE.org

So will the developer version be the one with the update of KDE?

    Please reply,

The KDE4.x desktop is different and works in different ways, ready for the next generation of goodies
On the desktop you have plasmoids that you select one-by-one or rather use as little programs on your DT. However if you have one or more forderview plasmoids on the desktop you can select multiple files within them and move them, delete etc.
Have a look, I selected two files. Or use Dolphin, a joy to use ! Or even Konqueror.

As suggested I'd also upgrade to 4.1 but you can run KDE3.5 as well and Gnome and others parrallel to KDE4.x and switch between them with Ctrl+F7, Ctrl+F8, Ctrl+F9 etc.
Actually I have seen an xfce desktop with plasma (KDE4.1) running inside a window. Here.

    Cool screenshot!

Okay, so if I got to YaST, will I be able to download KDE 4.1?
