    Unhappy graphics problem

    dear frnds,
    i am having some problems with my suse 11.0 i have selected several items from the look and feel option. provided here.but my system doesnt support those graphics properties.hence my monitor ,when i start suse,remains blank and dark.hence i cannot even go back to my privious configuration.pls help me ....

    Press ctrl-alt-F1 This should get you to a terminal

    Log in as root

    type

    init 3

    press enter

    move to your home directory
    cd /home/yourusernamehere/

    You did not say which desktop you are using assuming KDE.
    rename the kde directory to see what the name is type ls .kde*
    note it is differnt if you are running 3.5x or 4.x

    then using that name

    mv ./.kde ./.kde.back

    restart X type

    init 5

    What video card do you have? Have you installed the 3D drivers for it?
