opensuse-10.2-ghostview

Greetings
The system has ghostview-1.5.230 which perhaps is used by
kghostview : it is not great but not bad.
However firefox (2.0.16) seems to use a primitive
version which is grossly inadequate .
Is it possible to upgrade ghostview in firefox without
updating to 3.0 ? The system has latest official
version of acroread.

kde uses the pdf viewer kdegraphics3-postscript--
The official ghostview package 1.5.230 seems to be inadrqute.
Can I get better version of ghostview for opensuse 10.2?
