    Unhappy Configuring Helix Banshee to play mp3 files?

    I am failing to play audio files using Helix Banshee and Real Player for SUSE in SUSE 10.0.

    The player recommends i download codecs but i am new to SUSE and not quite sure how i go about it.

    Can anyone out there help me

    Generally you can download the realplayer/helix packages from SUSE's repository to enable mp3 playback. However in this case you are using 10.0 which I think is out of support now so the repositories might not even exist. There have been four major releases since 10.0 with the current release being 11.0.

    When I was using 10.0 I would always use the Packman and Guru repositories. Here is a list of repos but if you look you'll see they only list back as far as 10.2.

    Would you consider installing the latest version of SUSE?
