    iam mohan
    I installed suse11.0 on my laptop (sony vaio VGN-CR14GB/b).
    I cannot get GUI..
    when xserver is started it shows 104 error. connection reset by peer....

    i downloaded ATI driver for linux but extraction fails..
    i dont no how to get GUI..
    same problem i encountered when i tried to install fedro 8
    please help me .....

    Boot from a LiveCD, and go to /var/log.
    Look ad the the relevant error log files.
    Get the relevant output.

    Get a default file of /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and replace your old file.

    ATI drivers are not so good supported in Linux.

    If possible, try to use other ones.
