help with SuSE 10.3

. tow days ago i have installed SuSE 10.3 and it started very well, after i have rebooted the machine and started Windows XP , i restarted my machine again and started the SuSE but it opened in a T.U.I. mode i have logged in as the root and no G.U.I. started.

p.s. I'm new to Linux ,i always use windows but i wanted to get to know Linux.

Try typing startx in terminal and let us know What error you get

thank you so much, after i have logged into windows a couple times i saw you'r reply and wanted to test it , so when i started SuSE end it worked will i dont know why.

but i still have two or three problems still need to be solved if you please tell me hoe to solve this one.

i have an adsl connection, (in windows all i have to do is to create the connection and enter the user name and the password) , i have created a adsl connection in SuSE and it doesn't work i just can't connect to the Internet.
i have noticed that it requires a provider name but in windows any thing works there is that the problem.
p.s. i have setted the adsl connection to start as the system starts automatically.
please help.
