    SuSE 11.0 Black screen

    Hello,

    I just finished installing SuSE 11.0 on my Dell Latitude D531 and after rebooting all I get is a black screen!

    I get the startup options screen, press enter to go on, get the green loading screen and then once thats done I get nothing. The HD Activity light flickers for about a minute and then stops. Still just a black screen.

    I tried to boot in failsafe and its just the same.

    Dell Latitiude D531
    AMD Turion64 x2
    2GB RAM
    ATi Radeon X1270

    When you get to the loading splash screen press esc. This should put you in terminal mode and you can watch the boot process. This may help in figuring out where the process is hanging.

    My gues is that it is a graphic driver issue, since I had similar problems with ATI card, which are not well supported on linux sistems.
