    Samba question


    Hi I am trying to share files between an xp computer and a SuSE 9.1 box, does suse come with samba installed or do I need to install it ? if so can someone please give me some help on how to do that? thanks alot

    If you are new to linux (whitch im assuming you are) open up YaST2, it should have an option called samba, if you have problems understanding it, post back. Suse will have it installed by default.

    Ok I installed it ( apparently) using yast2 but I still cant figure out how to open it, when I go to konsole also I type smbd - V to see what version is installedand it says cmmand not found
