    Display Driver Problems

I tried to install Open Suse 11.0 on my PC which is having the following configuration.

    P-III 550 MHz, 256MBRAM, 80GB HDD, Samsung 55V 15" Monitor, PS2 Mouse also having AVERMEDIA TV98 Video Card.

The problem is whenever i install, the installation works fine till the last screen i.e. Hardware Detection but then system screen goes blank and hangs. When the system is restarted the message says "Last setup was failed do you want to continue " if you select yes, then the result repeats. When selected no, the system boots and x windows is loaded but without proper video graphics loaded.
Can any one help me out ?

Looks like the video card is the problem. That is an odd one.

What do you mean by proper video graphics???

in a terminal or console window become root by typing
    su
then the root password (note this does not echo to the screen)

    then
    lspci

This will list all PCI devices and may give a better description of the video card and chip set.
