I a newbie for Linux Operating System because I am used in using Windows And Macintosh. I am trying to connect my Samsung Phone to my computer which has two Operating System Windows XP and Suse Linux 10.1 and i want to use my mobile phone as a modem so that i can connect to the internet. When I am using my Windows OS, I usually used my Samsung PC Suite, and connect from there. This is some of the configuration setup by my PC suite:

Country : Philippines
Provider: Globe
APN Name:internet.globe.com.ph
Phone Number:*99**1*1#
UserID:<blank>
Password:<blank>

I read some articles about it that when you connect your mobile phone to the linux, you dont need any software or drivers for it because it will automatically considered your device as a modem. I Configured the settings in "Yast" >MODEM > it didnt show that my phone is connected ,so what i did i add it as a new modem ,configure some settings like /dev/ttyACM0 something like that, and follow most of the suggested things like to to install Kinternet, smpppd, wvdial, and others. And connect it using the Kinternet but still the same that its not connecting. When i check the Hardware Information in the Yast, in the list, Samsung Modem is listed in the USB, buy the dev name:/dev/ttyUSB1, so i change the configuration again in the Modem.and set /dev/ttyUSB1 but still the same. NO CONNECTION..

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!
