Hello,
I am unable to configure internet connection in Opensuse 11.0.That means I cannot access internet connection.I have a broadband connection with ADSL modem.
In Windows XP ,this modem will detect when it immediately plug to the system ,but in Opensuse it will not.
So Please help me to access internet in Opensuse 11.0

Can you be a little bit more specific?
Make sure your modem is on and that you have some sort of indicator light telling you that your DSL connection is okay.
In SUSE, open a terminal, do an ifconfig, and paste your results here.

Generally, it's not the case that the modem needs to OS, but that the OS needs to detect the modem. Can you run /sbin/ifconfig and paste the results here?

unable to configure internet connection in Opensuse 11.0
What kind of connection do you have to your modem. Is it a network card?
If it is you need to run yast2 ->Network device -> network settings ->.
Once you get there you need to select the network card listed and then hit the add button.
Another window will open and most of it should be set correctly. Just hit the finish button and you should be on the way to nirvana
