    ISP.com don't suport Linux

    O/S:SUSE 10.3
    Server: ISP.com
    Hardware: Actiontec usb/ethernet DSL modem, Linksys wireles-G2.4GHZ broadband router.
    Problem: I had a working internet connection with this hardware. My ethernet connection on the motherboard went bad. I disabled it & installed a PCI ethernet card. I did new install of SUSE 10.3, durning the 10.3 install the DSL, isdn,moden were not detected. How do I install the DSL,isdn and modem?

    Help please Iam a newbe! ISP.com is no help.

    Hello and Welcome!

    Are you on a static IP address? You'll have to configure kPPP for connection, so have you contacted your ISP for dial-up numbers, IP address, subnet mask, etc? Also, does your modem require any type of drivers to be installed?

    Thanks Jay! I think that the problem is the new PCI card is not compatible. I need a driver for Linux. I have a pci card that works with Linux in my old computer I will try that an see if that will fix it.
