    Lynx segmentation fault

    Hi,

I am a linux user and am running into a problem I am not sure how to solve. I need to run lynx to connect to websites from the command line for TCL scripts that I use. In my installation of Suse lynx was not part of the distribution so I had to go out and search for a build. I first installed a rpm that I found on RPM Search lynx-2.8.5-35.3.x86_64.rpm. I am using suse linux 10 x64 edition. The installation went without any errors but when I try to exectue the command I get the following error.

lynx: Symbol `acs_map' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
    Segmentation fault

Now if I change the user to root and run the same command the program runs fine. Any ideas why I can run the command as super user but not as a basic user? I am not sure how to solve the problem.

    OK,

    NM I figured it out.

I had also compiled a version of lynx on my system. My user was calling the rpm version of the installation and the root was calling the lynx from the compilation was the difference from the two. I used yast to uninstall the rpm install and re-compiled the program again and now both users are working. Sorry for the wasted post.
