    Network Driver Install?

Hey, I'm a newb to linux and I'm having some problems (I think) with drivers (though I truly have no real idea what is happening). I have my comp plugged into a network bridge to receive a network connection. Only problem-SuSE does not seem to recognize the connection. I don't only have no internet but no network as well.

I think it could be a problem with a driver? I know SuSE is supposed to autodetect but if so shouldn't it have found the right driver and recognized the connection immediatly. What steps should I be taking to diagnose this problem.

PS I have a driver CD that shipped with my mobo that has linux LAN drivers.

Can you post the output of the following commands (run as root) to give us an idea of what may be wrong.

    Code:
    ifconfig -a
    route -n
    ping www.google.com
Also, can you tell us what kind of network card you have, and if you need to configure your network settings manually or if it is done be DHCP.

Let us know how you get on,

    Chris...
To be good, you must first be bad. "Newbie" is a rank, not a slight.
