    newbie installing!

So i finally decided to get rid of the demon called windows, and switched to linux. i got opensuse 10.3

thing is i'm unable to play some video files, eg .avi...and i read its better i get vlc since it comes with the codecs. plus its a good player (i know from the windows counterpart)

but seriously..its really hard installing just this! i dont have a net connection so i cant get it automatically....

can someone please help me out with a very simple step by step on how to install this, plus a link to where i can download it from.

    please help

Go to this page to download it.
I don't know which of the 9 packages it will require, so download them all and then install them:
    Code:
    rpm -i vlc-0.9.2-0.pm.2.i586.rpm
It will probably tell you about dependencies, so install the rpm it asks you each time.
