Hey everybody
The other day a frend came to see me, the first thing he saw was Linux on my computer. Needs no mentioning, he was impressed, and wanted to switch. Tried making a copy of the install DVD, no go, K3B returned-"could not read sector xxyy". Guess the DVD is fried. Now, when i try downloading openSUSE 11 (using kget),
I get:-
20:06:24 : Copy file from: http://download.opensuse.org/distrib...0-DVD-i386.iso
20:06:24 : To: file:///home/jheel/Documents/software/openSUSE-11.0-DVD-i386.iso
20:06:24 : Attempt number 1
20:06:37 : download.opensuse.org contacted. Waiting for reply...
20:06:40 : Total size is 355 bytes
20:06:40 : Retrieving 355 B from download.opensuse.org...
20:06:44 : ftp.daum.net contacted. Waiting for reply...
20:06:47 : The file size does not match.
20:06:47 : Retrieving 4.3 GB from ftp.daum.net...

The last but one line says-"20:06:47 : The file size does not match."
Is that a problem? I'm conecting thru my cell fone & it's not even in the same zip code as "high speed". It's gonna take more than 24 hours to download, & a failed attempt wouldn't be very appealing. I'll wait to hear from someone experienced before i continue..
Thanks for your time. God bless.
(P.S: I've re-tried downloading a couple of times, i always get the "The file size does not match." message. However, the download continues)
