    Not able to install using Yast>installation source> local drive

    Hi

    I tried to install Mplayer using the Yast but it did not reconize the path so could you help me in installing using the termainal.

    You need to use Yast. Have you set the repositories to the packman site?

    Please be sure you follow the instructions exactly.

    note you do not have to install mpalyer (though it does not hurt) what you need are the codecs. Also I highly recommend Amarok for MP3 and Kaffine for Video.

    Also just a note that 10.1 is getting old the current version is 11.0

    NO I have not set the repositories to the packman site, I don't know how to do it. One more information is mine is a standalone system (no internet).

    Support of 10.1 one will be ending soon, so I think it would be better (and easier for you) to move on to openSUSE 11. 10.1 also had major bugs with the package management which sometimes did not work as it should.
