Problems with SuSE 11 LiveCD GNOME and KDE

As ozar says regarding the Ubuntu LiveCD:
[QUOTE=ozar;629830]I personally prefer the "alternate desktop CD" (the text version of the installer), but that's only because it works for me whereas the liveCD version nearly always gives me some video resolution issues.QUOTE]
Maybe that is what I am experiencing.
However, I tried 10.0 KDE and GNOME liveCD and it didn't work.
I get to a command line and type in startx and it gives me an weird output, cant remember it really.
Is there a minimum graphics card memory on SuSE?
Is there a Desktop edition of SuSE? Can't run DVD's though...

    Welcome to the forums!

Did you try using the "ACPI Disabled" option?

Hopefully that will get you past this hurdle.

Thanks. I'll try that when I come home later on today...
