Installing Oracle JDBC on SLES 10

    Hello all ,

I have installed a (pretty basic) sles10 environment on a server at work, and need to be able to talk to an Oracle DB on a different server - the installation guide (for Novell Sentinel Server) informs me that i need to have 'ojdbc14.jar' installed or to manually install it before installing Sentinel. I have the file ojdbc14.jar but have no idea what to do with it :S.

I'm sorry if thits is a really novice question or if i havent given enough information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Luke

My guess is you need to install all of java. Go to Yast-Software-Software Management and be sure that Java is installed. Java is not usually installed by default.
