How to clear network log so Flash etc. have more available memory?

I am new to linux. Periodically, flash movies stop working for me, websites such as Pandora and Accuradio do not work, flash games become much slower, and I get a message saying there is not enough room on the disk when I try to download for example a picture attachment.

Someone who knows linux checked it out for me and he said the network log file is for some reason growing to an absurd size like well over 3 gigs???

He cleared it for me twice but I don't remember how. At first there was a week long period before the network log filled up but the second time there was only a day.

I am using firefox on a partition on a Dell Vostro 1000 if it matters. if anyone doesn't know how to answer, but does know like the formal names for things like "network log" that would be helpful too XD

    Hi mairabloom,

I would try and google the answer to your question, but your first course of action is to identify which log file to clear.

    "> /logfilename"

Typing the above will clear the log file, but always check any executable or unfamiliar commands first.

I hope this is of help

    Jnike
