    Installing suse linux 11 over 10.3

    (This isnt related to my other unetbootin thread mods)

    Is there any way to update to suse linux 11 from 10.3 without messsing with any settings(such as wireless, looks etc.)

    You can instal the new openSuse and keep your /home folder untouched. This would mean the look wouldn't change.
    I think you'd have to reconfigure wireless though.
    I don't have wireless so I can't be sure but I think the wireless support is getting better, anyway.

    One thing I forgot to mention,
    If you want to keep the look that you're used to you should probably not choose KDE 4. It sets up the desktop differently so although it looks similar it is different in handling and tweaking.

    Thanks, Pete. It took me a while to set up my wireless so I probably will stay at 10.3

    hello...want to ask

    i am new in linux.....i want to ask if i'm used live cd suse ,can i install wine on it ...and one more can i connect to internet using live cd(broadband)

    You should start a new thread for a question otherwise your request may not be seen by everyone.
    I'm not sure of the answer as I don't use wine and haven't used a live CD much.
