    [SOLVED] Printer setting in SUSE 10.3

    My old HP2200D works just fine - it is connected via my LAN using an external print server. Everything is dandy except that the default printer setting is for A4. I live in North America and would like the default to be Letter so that I don't have to reset it every time I want to print something. There is, I think, no setting for this in CUPS so it must be in some xxx.conf file somewhere? Does anyone know where? I should add that in my previous setups using different distros, the default was always Letter so this has not been a problem till I switched to SUSE 10.3

    You can fix this

    Go to yast->harware->printer

    select you currently installed printer and select edit,select filtersetting there you will be able to select default paper size(of you liking) for you printer.
