Problem after installing glibc 2.4

Hi All,

I have installed glibc 2.4 in my suse linux 10.0 and then
restarted my pc. It gives the following error after power on.
I couldnt even get login prompt.

/sbin/mingetty:relocation error: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: symbol_dl_out_of_memory, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference
Init:Id "4" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 mins..

I am newbie to linux... and I tried to clear this problem..
but couldnt get succeed

Any guidance or suggestion would help me more.

1) how did you install the lib?

2) can you get to a terminal?

If you can't try booting from the cd/dvd and do a repair
