suse 11.0 GNOME live CD problem

Hello all, it's my first post here, I'm new to linux and desided to go with susse 11.0, so I downloaded the suse 11.0 GNOME live CD i386 and was trying to make it work, but for some reason it gets to black screen with bunch of green or white writing mentions some IP Address then the screen goes black with: "none:/ #" I think or close to it. This happens right after it tries to open from the CD.
I'm using my dell 1100 with 2.5 intel, 2GB ram withy win XP pro SP3. Any help will be great. Oh another thing I have tried burning it twice and botht the same thing. I'm using poweriso ro burn it.
    Thank you in advance
    Sergey

    Welcome to the forums!

Take a look at this HowTo for making sure you've properly downloaded the ISO file, burned it as an image to the DVD, and are booting from it properly:

If all appears good, it might be some hardware issue that you can get around by experimenting with kernel boot options.
