Red face How to Hibernate sytem when copy is going?

In SuSE, I want to do ---(1)copy a 100M file to usb(2) when copy is going, hibernate system(3)wake up system, copy should be to continue(4)at last, compare the original file with the file in usb. Now, I could hibernate system without copying, but when copy is going, hibernate will came up after copy is completed.

May be I need to suspend copy process through 'ctrl + Z', and hibernate? After waked up system, use 'fg' to resume copy process?

    I am expecting your help!Thanks.

Hi welcome to the forum's . I don't think What you wanna do is possible cause when a pc is in hibernate it shuts down most services and hibernates So you either gonna have too finish copying then hibernate or pause copying then resume afterwards
