Eclipse run in background but nothing appeared on my monitor

    Hi everyone,

I've downloaded eclipse SDK from Eclipse.org home linux 32 version and unpatch it onto my Suse 11.0. After unpatching, I launched eclipse as my background process and it got loaded and asked for my working directory such as /blur/blur/workspace and then suddenly everything goes off . When i checked my background process, it's still there as a background process but no eclipse appearing on my laptop. Does anybody know what's the problem of this ?? Last 2 weeks ago I was using eclipse on my Suse 10 and it worked fine. I just updated my previous version to this one and I performed clean installation. So all settings would be in this case i think default. I didn't change anything. Please help me out of this and thanks everyone in advance.

I've tried it too. The problem is it's running as if everything is normal but the SDK is not appearing on my screen. I dunno why.

odd, especially if there are no error messages, try a different version of the sdk is my only guess, maybe one revision older and see if that helps, which jdk are you using (sun, bea, openjdk, etc) and which version?
