I face one issue sometime with autofs filesystem in Suse 9
unable to start automount directories in suse9 linux by using the below command when system is online
/etc/init.d/autofs stop ...

autofs problem in suse 9
I face one issue sometime with autofs filesystem in Suse 9
unable to start automount directories in suse9 linux by using the below command when system is online
/etc/init.d/autofs stop and start
but sometime it work .
If I reboot the autofs client then its work fine
autofs package used is autofs-4.xxxx.rpm so pls let me know what is the issue for this , is there any patch ?

Not knowing what XXXX is there is no way to tell if there is a newer version.
You might do a google for that RPM.

Thanks for your concern , the rpm we are using is autofs-4.1.3.lmw4-2.rpm

I found this for 5.0.1
Autofs 5.0.1 rpm Fedora Core 6
Of course I have no idea if it will work with your kernel.
