About your Thinkpad, is it one of the models that is affected by the "ThinkVantage" button issue mentioned in the "Release Note"? If you allowed it to overwrite your MBR, you should make a copy of the "backup_boot_sectors" on an external drive and keep it safe in case you want to restore it later.
