how to make openSUSE repository?
Hi All,
I want to make full- fledged openSUSE 11.0 repository for my college.and I want that repository to get automatically updated. but i dont know the procedure to make openSUSE repository.so please guide me.

As part of the opensuse install, the repository was already created. It is probably pointing to the DVD. If you want, you can create a folder on the server and copy the packages from the DVD/CD to the folder. Then go into 'yast2' and point it to the folder as opposed to the DVD/CD.
To automatically get updates, use the gnome GUI program 'updater'. Alternatively, you can use 'zypper' (it's a command line app).

Goto Yast/ Add a Repo. / Click ADD - Community=(Pick the ones you want theres alot !) / Make sure to Import all the Keys etc.

Then, goto "Install Software" etc.. .
