keyboard delay

i am running opensuse 11.0

i have this problem, when i start the computer the menu showing the os's on it i can move the options normally by pressing it only for a little while like you would do in a normal keyboard and click enter for suse but after suse loads and i want to type something i have to hold the key down for about 2 seconds and then it will type but it comes in pairs even with every keys i.e. space also with keys such as caps lock.

Tell use about your hardware.

Did you try a different keyboard?

Did you go into Yast and try resetting the keyboard?

it happened to all the keyboards i use which work on other computer

Go into Yast -Hardware-Graphics Card and Monitor-Keyboard

Change to generic or some other keyboard

Tell us about your hardware ie computer, chip set, etc.

Is this a new install or did it just start happening?
You may consider reinstalling

the problem has disappeared

it just happened all of a sudden

it might because of a wrong file being deleted or something

now it is ok

Try creating a new user account and log in as the new user see if the problem follows you.

now the problem has gone then it will come back, so i have created a user like you said when it happens i will see if the error carries on.
